After taking on Congress President Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law and businessman Robert Vadra and BJP President Nitin Gadkari, India Against Corruption (IAC) member Arvind Kejriwal trained his guns on the corporate-politician nexus. Kejriwal brought Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani in its line of fire alleging that the UPA and the previous NDA governments had favoured his company by giving contract on gas exploration in the KG Basin and concessions at a huge cost to the exchequer. Meanwhile, Reliance has rejected charges, saying allegations by IAC were at the "behest of vested interests".
In a debate moderated by TIMES NOW's Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami, panelists -- Aryama Sundaram, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court; Hartosh Singh Bal, Political Editor, Open Magazine; Nalin Kohli, Leader, BJP; Shazia Ilmi, Member, IAC; Prof Anand Kumar, Member, IAC; TSR Subramaniam, Former Cabinet Secretary and Arati Jerath, Senior Journalist discuss whether the both the national parties are defensive on the specific allegations made by IAC.
The highlight of the debate was the fact that IAC is now being seen as a serious political entity, which was noted by Hartosh Singh Bal, Political Editor - Open Magazine and Times Now's Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami.
